DATA AND PRIVACY

SRS involves the collection and interpretation of personal behavioural information. As such, data protection, confidentiality, and responsible handling are treated as fundamental, not optional.
All data gathered through the SRS assessment process is handled in line with applicable data protection legislation and professional standards. The assessment is designed to balance meaningful insight with respect for individual privacy, dignity, and consent.
This section outlines how SRS data is collected, stored, used, and protected.

WHAT DATA IS COLLECTED

The SRS assessment collects information directly relevant to behavioural understanding and interpretation. This typically includes:
Responses to structured behavioural inventories
Responses to the projective section
Results from timed cognitive exercises
Limited contextual or background information provided for interpretation purposes
SRS does not collect unnecessary personal data, nor does it seek information unrelated to behavioural insight.
All data collected has a defined purpose within the assessment process.

HOW DATA IS USED

Data collected through SRS is used solely to support behavioural interpretation and feedback.
It is applied to:
Generate a structured behavioural profile
Support professional interpretation
Inform feedback, discussion, and decision-making
SRS data is not used for automated decision-making, profiling without interpretation, or purposes beyond those explicitly agreed with the client and participant.
Insight is contextual and explanatory, not predictive in a deterministic or absolute sense.

CONFIDENTIALITY AND ACCESS

Confidentiality is central to the SRS process.
Access to assessment data is restricted to:
The individual assessed (where appropriate)
The commissioning organisation or client, within agreed boundaries
Trained professionals involved in interpretation and feedback
Data is not shared with third parties without explicit consent, except where required by law. Clear agreements are established regarding who will receive insight, in what form, and for what purpose.

DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY

SRS data is stored securely using systems and processes designed to protect against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.
Security measures include:
Controlled access
Appropriate technical safeguards
Clear data handling procedures
Data is retained only for as long as it is legitimately required for the purposes agreed, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised in line with data protection requirements.

RESPONSIBLE USE OF INSIGHT

Behavioural data carries responsibility.
SRS insight is designed to inform understanding, not to label, stigmatise, or limit individuals. Interpretation focuses on behavioural patterns within context, rather than fixed traits or judgements.
The requirement for professional interpretation forms part of this ethical safeguard, ensuring that insight is applied thoughtfully and proportionately.
